Experience
Worked with kids for over 10 years, with 5 years of those being a tutor. In short, I really really get kids. Many families prefer me because I can help with almost all high school subjects, except languages I don't know. My ACT students raise an average of 4-6 points (though not without some dedicated work by the student). I'm a full time tutor, most of my students come from word of mouth, but I'm open to using this site to fill in some empty times in my schedule. I'm supposed to be pretty smart, but my personal strength is that I can explain a really difficult problem/theory in a way that anyone can understand.

I'm a nerd who reads too many Wikipedia articles. I always wear a tie to work unless its an emergency. Ironically, some have referred to me as "the cool tutor", perhaps it's just to maintain morale. I have a life outside of the library, but as an educator, you're only allowed to show brief glimpses to students, they mustn't find out that their teachers are real people.
