I graduated from high school with a 4.2 GPA. During high school I took 6 AP courses: World History, U.S. History, Government, English Literature, Calc AB, and Calc BC. I received a B.A. in English with a minor in African and African American Studies from the UC Davis. Currently a Grad Student in Creative Writing. **All 8 of my students improved by 2 letter grades during the 2011-2012 school year** California Basic Education Skills Test (CBEST)-Passed SEEK-NSBE Site Director of Operations Management, Oakland CA,/Detroit, MI, April 2014 – Present •Responsible for management of program operations including organization, administrative, and event planning aspects of the SEEK program •Maintaining all files for approx. 800 people (electronic and paper) •Serving as the lead for all technology and office management needs for the site •Keeping an organized record of all test scores for each child •Training 52 employees •Laney College Tutor, Oakland, CA, 2011 I was hired as a Writing Tutor through the school and outside of the job I tutored other students in various subjects within Math. •Lead 3rd Grade Teacher, Oakland, CA, Summer 2011-2012 Students focused on STEM for a rigorous 3 week program with the National Society of Black Engineers designed to introduce the students into the world of Engineering during the summer. I am tutoring again because there is a great thrill in being able to help someone who is in need. There are so many people who could do great things if they only had a person to answer that hard question that they have been stuck on and has made learning an excruciating process.
