Transferred from City College of San Francisco to San Francisco State University in 2015. I am completing a BA majoring in economics and graduating in spring of 2019. I will then be pursuing a teaching credential to teach high school math. I have a 3.0 GPA.
Experience
Painless algebra and Spanish tutoring exists. Are you ready? I have recently worked as a math teacher's assistant for four years in Oakland and San Francisco public school districts. For most of my career I have done non-profit social service and public policy work with over 20 years of experience. My experience includes working with a broad range of students from college or high performing to high risk, newcomer immigrants or special education high school students. I like working with students that have challenges so I am very patient and resourceful. I am majoring in economics and I'm proud to consider myself a big nerd who geeks out on math, world history, ethnic studies, English, Spanish, creative writing, poetry, political science, music and fine art. I am also a painter, graphic artist and cartoonist. I have a sense of humor and I like to have fun when I am tutoring because it helps students relax and learn better. I passionately believe that mean tutors are not nice.
