ExperienceMy tutoring style includes encouraging communication and effort from both sides. I believe effective tutoring requires those qualities. I also believe in establishing student goals at the beginning of our work together, so we can reach them sooner. It is my job to make sure my students reach their academic goals and become successful. When I am not tutoring, you can find me running, cycling, reading, and writing. I look forward to working with you or your child.
I am an engineering and physical science nut. I earned degrees in Engineering and Materials Science from UCLA and Columbia University. I conducted my graduate research on thin-film semiconductor materials science. I have other interests from engineering and science, including problem-solving. I love teaching the steps and methods of problem-solving. My experience as a teacher consists of being a teaching assistant at universities. I have also privately tutored undergraduate students. My favorite subjects to tutor are materials science and mathematics.
