Former high school honors English teacher. Former African History teacher at Washington, DC private school. Former tutor for many years. I have taught adult refugees, young teenagers in juvenile hall, at-risk teens, and well-to-do young people. I am able to relate to anyone across the board and help them find their gifts as a learner. I want to be a tutor because I love showing people that it is possible to expand, grow, and tackle the impossible. I am able to make learning fun and to help young people understand and use their strengths while overcoming fears or blocks in their studies.
