Throughout college, I informally tutored my peers in history, literature, and the relationship between the two. My studies have resulted in me having a very strong background in American history, politics, and literature; I also have a general working knowledge of the literature and history of Europe and South America, but they are not my specialty. I am very proficient in analytic writing, creative writing, and editing for grammar and content. I also have previous experience as a mentor for a refugee family who had been resettled in the US; among numerous other responsibilities, I tutored the family in English.

Hobbies
As one might have guessed, a significant amount of my free time is spent reading. I also enjoy writing poetry, linoleum block printmaking, and constructing mixed media art pieces. I also enjoy exploring urban areas, which is closely connected to my committed search for the best burrito and the best taco truck in the Bay Area.
