Education

Graduate from Stanford University. Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, June 2010. I am in process of completing my PE (Professional Engineer) License, and currently my EIT in the state of California. I am currently working as an engineering manager and project manager with a solar energy company developing, designing, constructing, and managing utility scale solar energy systems.

Experience

Tutored math at Stanford, ranging from basic, through Algebra II for a summer math program. After high school, tutored elementary school children in basic math. I would like to be a tutor because helping kids learn math is very important. Growing up loving math can be a great thing, and in the long run, is necessary and important for success in any field, whether math related or not. Having the knowledge and ability only makes me more able to help others learn from me and attain high levels of numeracy. As far as relevant classes, I have taken all levels of calculus and physics, as well as all the mechanical engineering courses using those skills to focus them on more technical problems. Items from my resume include projects that involved high levels of design and calculation, including rocket motors and an electric scooter design for BMW. I also do heavy electrical design for solar energy power plants, which includes structural and civil components as well.

Hobbies

I am an engineering graduate from Stanford University who grew up actually enjoying math. I was an athlete all through high school, and even tried walking on to the football team at Stanford my freshman year. I am still close with many football players and live with some to this day. I stay active physically, and enjoy outdoor activities from sports, to learning to build and fix anything I can get my hands on. I am very friendly and do what it takes to get a job done, and always make sure that all effort is put to doing it right the first time.
