Services I provide: I provide individualized and highly effective academic and test preparation tutoring for students in grades 6-12 and college. I also assist students with high school, college and graduate school applications, including essays and resumes/CVs, and school-selection. Professional Experience: I have 12 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I taught at the middle and high school level for 2 years, and tutored at a center in Marin County for 3 years before becoming a private tutor in 2009. My Ivy League-caliber education, training in education pedagogy, and approach to tutoring have contributed to my success in improving student's grades, test scores, and enjoyment of learning. My Tutoring Philosophy: My approach to tutoring is to guide students toward reaching their own understandings, enabling them to learn how to learn, and how to succeed academically. I believe that the cornerstone of tutoring is building students' confidence in their academic capacity, while identifying their unique learning style and customizing a tutoring program for them.
