Education

I earned a BS in physics from UC Santa Barbara, CA in 2005, and went on to earn a PhD in dark matter experimental physics from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH 2014.

Experience

I am a research physicist at LBNL. 1 year TAing laboratory physics at CWRU 2 years tutoring physics and astronomy at UCSB I earned a 4 in the AP Physics 1 test in 1999, had high scores in the SAT Math and SATII physics exams in 1999, and placed in the 55%ile in the physics GRE subject test in 2004. I want to tutor to help people who not only want to score high but want to deeply understand the subject matter.

Hobbies

I enjoy reading fiction and non-fiction, particularly books on homebrewing, which puts into use the organizational and experimental skills I learned as a physicist. I play disc golf when I can find the time, especially when I travel. As such I enjoy walking in parks and around my neighborhood in the sunshine.
