Experience

I have experience teaching at the college level as an Academic Coach and Adjunct Professor, as well as teaching at a K-8 private elementary school. I have taught in the areas of Psychology, Special Education, General Education, German, Career Counseling, Study Skills, Counseling, Active Listening, Stress Management, Theater, and Behavior. I also created, designed, and taught summer school for two years for grades K-8 and served as a School Counselor for several years grades K-12. I have also tutored in reading and writing, as well as study skills. I love helping students learn through their individual learning style to be academically successful and to achieve their own personal educational goals. I use to not be the best student, but over the years and through becoming a McNair Scholar in college, I learned about different learning personalities and styles. I can help you learn to study in the way that will help you or your child individually and help you or your child to reach ones greatest learning potential. I have extensive experience working with those with special needs over the course of 15 plus years. I worked at an intensive treatment program for children with ADD/ADHD that was also educationally and research focused. I am currently a Program Supervisor for in home Applied Behavior Analysis therapy with children with Autism, which is one of my expertise areas. I have also taught a Special Education and the Law college level course. In addition, I worked as a camp counselor at a camp, as well as co-led a therapy group, and taught a Stress Management class for those Hard of Hearing.
